Brave (2012)

“Some says our destiny is tied to the land as much a part of us as we are of it. Others says fate is woven together like a cloth. So that one’s destiny intertwines with many others. It’s one thing we search for and fight to change. Some never find it, but there are some who are led.”

This is an animated, fantasy, drama, adventure movie that is produced by Pixar Animation Studios and released by Walt Disney Pictures.

This is a story of a girl named Merida, who is a Princess. She thinks that her whole life is planned out by her mother, that she is in charge of her every single day. She has no freedom of her own. It was like that her fate was already decided i.e. to being a princess.

But she wants something else from her life. She wants to change her fate.

Then her mother decides her marriage and Merida thinks that after marriage all her freedom is going to lost. She wanted to do more in her life, more fun and adventure especially archery but her mother won’t listen to her.

Then she ran from her castle and met a witch. She asks her to do a spell on her Mother that will change her. She believed that this will change her fate.

The main problem in the story was the relationship of Merida and her mother. Both of them have their pride and don’t want to listen to each other. They have made mistake but don’t want to accept because of their pride. That’s why the formula to break the spell was, “Fate be changed, look inside, mend the bond torn by pride.”
